While there, he formed a tag team with Shad Gaspard. They called themselves "The Gang-Stars". They won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship twice.
In 2006, the team moved from OVW to the main Raw show. Their name became "Cryme Tyme", and Jayson changed his name to JTG. In September 2006, videos started playing on Raw to introduce Cryme Tyme. On October 16, 2006, Cryme Tyme officially debuted. They defeated two members of the Spirit Squad in a non-title match.
At the Cyber Sunday event in November 2006, Cryme Tyme won a special tag team match. As part of their act, Cryme Tyme often pretended to steal things from other wrestlers. They would then "sell" them to fans. They even "sold" fake entry numbers at the Royal Rumble event.
At the New Year's Revolution event, Cryme Tyme won a match to earn a shot at the World Tag Team Championships. They wrestled mostly on Heat for a few months. They also appeared backstage at WrestleMania 23.
In July 2007, Cryme Tyme won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship for a second time. On August 13, 2007, Cryme Tyme returned to their hometown of New York City. They wrestled at Madison Square Garden on Raw. On September 2, 2007, both JTG and Shad were released from WWE.
