Mayor of Baltimore (2019–2020)

Young became the acting mayor on April 2, 2019. This was when Mayor Catherine Pugh took a leave of absence. She needed time to recover from pneumonia. On May 2, 2019, Mayor Pugh resigned from her position. At that point, Jack Young officially became the mayor of Baltimore.
