Jacqueline Ruth "Jackie" Cain (born May 22, 1928 – died September 15, 2014) was a talented American jazz singer. She was best known for her musical partnership with her husband, Roy Kral. Together, they formed the famous duo called Jackie and Roy.

Life and Music Career
Early Life in Milwaukee
Jackie Cain was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her father sold office furniture and also managed a local community theater. After her parents divorced, Jackie and her mother moved to a rooming house. Her mother found a job at a photo-imaging company.
Discovering Music
Jackie first became interested in music by listening to the radio. She also enjoyed singing in the chorus at her elementary school. When she was in high school, she sang in an a cappella chorus. She also started performing on a children's radio show. Plus, she sang with a band that a local music store in Milwaukee had put together.
Starting Her Singing Career
At 17, Jackie Cain got her first full-time job as a singer. She joined a band led by Jay Burkhart. In 1947, when she was 19, she met Roy Kral. He was also a musician in the Burkhart band.
Jackie and Roy: A Musical Duo
Jackie and Roy quickly started performing together. They sang in clubs in Chicago. In 1949, they got married. As a musical duo, Jackie and Roy recorded almost 40 albums. They worked with well-known record companies like Columbia and Verve.
Later Years
Jackie Cain passed away at her home in Montclair, New Jersey. This happened in September 2014. She died from problems related to a stroke she had in 2010.
