Jackie Hill Perry (born June 21, 1989) is an American poet, writer, and hip hop artist. She first became well-known for her spoken word performances. Some of her popular pieces include "My Life as a Stud" and "A Poem About Weed." She performed these at events like the Passion 4 Christ Movement (P4CM).
Jackie Hill Perry has also written for several Christian groups, such as Desiring God. In January 2014, she signed with Humble Beast, a Portland, Oregon-based Christian hip hop record label. Her first album was released in November 2014. She married fellow spoken word artist Preston Perry in March 2014. They currently have four children. In June 2024, she signed with Reach Records.

Biography
Early life and spiritual journey
Jackie Hill Perry was born Jackie Hill on June 21, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up without her father. She attended church until she was about ten years old.
In October 2008, Jackie became a Christian. This was a very important moment in her life. She began to focus on her new faith.
Career and family life
After her spiritual journey began, Jackie started writing poetry. She performed her first spoken word piece at a P4CM poetry conference in 2010. At this event, she met Preston Perry, who later became her husband.
Preston proposed to her in August 2013 with a spoken word poem. They got married in March 2014.
Record label Humble Beast announced in January 2014 that they had signed Jackie Hill Perry. She has appeared on other Christian hip hop songs. These include tracks by Swoope and Beautiful Eulogy. Her first album, The Art of Joy, was released in November 2014. Beautiful Eulogy produced this album.
Jackie Hill Perry is also part of the Legacy Movement ministry. In 2016, she was featured on Lecrae's song "Misconceptions 3." This song was on his album Church Clothes 3.
Jackie and her husband are part of "Poets in Autumn." This is a global tour of Christian spoken word artists. They create poems and songs together and individually. Their work often explores different topics within the Christian faith. In 2019, Jackie and Preston started a podcast called "With the Perrys." On their podcast, they share their thoughts on relationships, faith, and parenting. On June 13, 2024, it was announced that Jackie Hill Perry had signed with Reach Records. She also released a new song called "First Draft" at the same time.

Writing
Jackie Hill Perry has written for various Christian organizations. Her writing often explores how Christian beliefs connect with different life topics. She wrote "Love Letter to a Lesbian" for Desiring God. She also wrote "A Christian Response to the Same-Sex Marriage Ruling" for The Resurgence.
She has also written several books. Her book Gay Girl Good God was published in September 2018.
