Jacqueline S. Taylor (born February 16, 1935 – died July 15, 2008) was an American politician. She was known for her work in the Oregon House of Representatives. Jackie Taylor also served her Native American community.

Jackie Taylor was born in 1935 in Thomas, Oklahoma. Her parents were Richard and Bertha Self. Jackie was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. This is a Native American tribe. She later went to college at Boise State University.
Jackie's Time in Politics
Jackie Taylor became a politician in 1990. She was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives. This is a group of people who make laws for the state of Oregon. She worked there until 2000. She could not run for re-election because of term limits. Term limits mean a person can only serve for a certain number of years.
After leaving the Oregon Legislature, Jackie continued her public service. She was elected to the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Tribal Legislature. This group makes laws for her Native American tribe.
