History of Jackson Springs
Jackson Springs was first settled in the 1700s by the Jackson family. The community was named after them. For a while, it grew into a popular place because of its natural springs. It became a "mineral spa" town, where people visited to use the spring water, which they believed had health benefits. A large hotel was built to welcome these visitors. However, in 1933, the hotel was destroyed by a fire. After this, the community became much smaller.
