Jacob Basil Anderson (born 18 June 1990) is a talented British actor and musician. You might know him best as Grey Worm from the popular TV series Game of Thrones. He also plays Louis in Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire.
When he makes music, Jacob uses the cool stage name Raleigh Ritchie. He picked this name from his favorite characters in the movie The Royal Tenenbaums. His music often blends soul and trip hop styles.

Early Life and Acting Start
Jacob Basil Anderson was born in Bristol, England, on June 18, 1990. He has sisters from his father's second marriage.
Jacob loved acting from a young age. He was encouraged to join school plays. He started acting professionally when he was just 16 years old. A year later, he moved to London to focus on his acting career.
Jacob's Acting Journey
Jacob has appeared in many different TV shows and films. One of his early roles was Angelo in the movie 4.3.2.1.. He also played Simon in the ITV drama Injustice. You might have seen him in an episode of Skins too.
A big role for Jacob was Grey Worm in the HBO series Game of Thrones. He played this character from 2013 to 2019. Grey Worm was the brave leader of Daenerys Targaryen's Unsullied army.
In 2013, Jacob also played Dean Thomas in the ITV drama Broadchurch. Later, in 2021, he joined the cast of Doctor Who for its 13th series.
Since 2022, Jacob has been playing the main vampire character, Louis de Pointe du Lac, in the AMC TV series Interview with the Vampire. Critics have really praised his performance in this show.

Early Music Days
Back in 2006, Jacob sang on a song called "The PL" by Typesun. He also recorded a song with Plan B for the Adulthood movie soundtrack.
You're a Man Now, Boy Album
In 2013, Jacob signed with Columbia Records. He released his first free music collection, called The Middle Child, under his Raleigh Ritchie name. Another collection, Black and Blue, came out in 2014.
Jacob gets his musical inspiration from artists like Erykah Badu and Stevie Wonder. His song "Stronger Than Ever" became very popular. It was even used in TV adverts and reached number 30 on the UK Singles Chart in 2014.
His first full album, You're a Man Now, Boy, was released on February 26, 2016. It reached number 32 on the UK Albums Chart. He also sang on the song "Don't Cry For Me" from Stormzy's album Gang Signs & Prayer in 2017.
Andy Album and Recent Music
On May 6, 2020, Jacob released a new song called "Aristocrats." This was part of his second album, Andy, which came out on June 26, 2020. Other songs from this album included "Time In A Tree," "Party Fear," and "Squares."
In 2021, he released the single "Say What You Mean." He said he writes songs to express his feelings. Another single, "Lucky," followed soon after.
Dead Ends and Diversions Project
On May 31, 2024, Jacob released the song "Love Is Dumb." He also announced a new music project called Dead Ends and Diversions. This project was released on July 26, 2024. It includes 13 songs that hadn't been on an album before. He also held two sold-out shows in London to support the new music.
Personal Life
In December 2018, Jacob Anderson married actress Aisling Loftus. They had been together for about seven years. Jacob and Aisling are now parents to two daughters, born in 2020 and 2024. They live with their family in West London.
