Jacqueline Harpman (born July 5, 1929 – died May 24, 2012) was a writer from Belgium. She wrote many books in French.
Jacqueline was born in Etterbeek, Belgium. Her father was Jewish and from the Netherlands. When the Nazis invaded during World War Two, her family had to leave their home. They went to Casablanca, Morocco, to be safe. They did not come back to Belgium until the war was over.
After the war, Jacqueline studied French literature. She then started training to become a doctor. But she got very sick with tuberculosis and could not finish her studies. In 1954, she began writing books. Her first book, L'Amour et l'acacia, was published in 1958. Later, in 1980, she became a psychoanalyst. This means she helped people understand their thoughts and feelings.
Her book I Who Have Never Known Men was the first of her works to be published in English. It was first called The Mistress of Silence. Jacqueline Harpman passed away in Brussels, Belgium, on May 24, 2012. She was 82 years old and had been ill for a long time.

- In 2019, a street in Brussels was named after Jacqueline Harpman. This was to honor her important writings.
- On July 5, 2024, Google Doodle celebrated Jacqueline Harpman. This special drawing on the Google homepage honored her birthday.
