Founding Chez JJ

Jade Wang co-founded Chez JJ with Jocelyn Berl. Chez JJ was a group of three "hacker homes." These homes were special places where people who loved technology could live and work together. Chez JJ faced some challenges with city rules about housing. Because of these issues, it closed down in 2015. However, before it closed, Chez JJ provided a home for more than 400 residents.

Starting Sandstorm

Jade Wang also helped start Sandstorm. Sandstorm is an "open source platform for personal servers." This means it's a free computer program that lets people run their own online services.
