Boating and Floating on the Colorado River
If you love being on the water, this park is for you! Several sections have boat ramps, making it easy to launch your boat or kayak. You can find boat ramps at the Corn Lake, Connected Lakes, and Fruita segments.
The park is also known for its fun float trips on the Colorado River. You can enjoy a float trip between Corn Lake and Connected Lakes, which is about 10 miles (16 km) long. Another exciting trip is between Connected Lakes and Fruita, also around 10 miles (16 km). Both of these river journeys include some "Class II rapids." This means the water gets a little bumpy and exciting, but it's generally safe and fun for most people. It's a great way to experience the river's gentle currents and beautiful views.
