Growing Up and Studying

James Wilson was born in Dublin, Ireland, around 1774. His father's name was William. James grew up in Dublin and later went to Trinity College Dublin, which is often called TCD.

He was a very good student. He earned his first degree, a Bachelor of Arts (BA), in 1794. He then continued his studies, getting his Master of Arts (MA) degree in 1800. Later, in 1811, he earned two more advanced degrees, a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) and a Doctor of Divinity (DD).
