Jamia Ayanna Fields, born on September 24, 1993, is an American soccer player. She plays as a forward, which means she helps score goals. Currently, she plays for the Stockton Cargo team in the USL W League.
Early Life
Jamia grew up in Alta Loma, California. She went to Florida State University. There, she was part of the Florida State Seminoles team. This team won a big championship in 2014, called the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.
Club Career
Jamia Fields started her professional career in 2015. She was chosen by the Boston Breakers in the NWSL College Draft. After training with them, she signed with the Western New York Flash for the 2015 season.
Later in 2015, Jamia was picked by the Orlando Pride in a special draft for new teams. She played for the Orlando Pride for two seasons. During this time, she appeared in 28 games for the club. She left the team before the 2018 season.
In March 2018, Jamia announced she was joining Arna-Bjørnar. This is a team in Norway's top soccer league, the Toppserien. She played 8 games for Arna-Bjørnar. In July 2018, her contract with the club ended.
Jamia then signed with another Norwegian team, Avaldsnes IL, in July 2018.
After that, Jamia joined the Houston Dash. She was invited to their training camp before the 2019 NWSL season. She then signed with the Dash and played for them until 2021.
Personal Interests
Outside of soccer, Jamia enjoys several hobbies. She likes horseback riding and going on hikes. She also enjoys playing tennis.
