Early Life and First Steps
Jan Böhmermann was born and grew up in Bremen, Germany. His father passed away when Jan was 17. Böhmermann keeps his private life quiet, but it is known that he is a father. He also served as a lay judge, a citizen who helps a professional judge make decisions in a court.
