Jan Kociniak (born November 8, 1937 – died April 20, 2007) was a famous Polish actor. He was well-known for his work in movies, TV shows, and especially for lending his voice to many beloved cartoon characters. Kids in Poland knew him best as the voice of Winnie the Pooh!

About Jan Kociniak

Jan Kociniak was born in Stryj, which was part of Poland back then, but is now in Ukraine. He studied acting at The Warsaw Higher Theatrical School and finished in 1961. For most of his career, he performed at The Atheneum Theatre in Warsaw.

He was a talented actor who appeared in many feature films and TV series. But what many people remember him for most was his amazing voice acting. He brought many cartoon characters to life, including the beloved Winnie the Pooh in the Polish versions of the cartoons.

Jan Kociniak was given a special award called the Order of Polonia Restituta. This award is one of Poland's highest honors, given to people who have done great things for their country.
