About Jane O'Leary
Jane O'Leary was born in Hartford, Connecticut. She studied at Vassar College and then at Princeton University. There, she earned a special degree called a Ph.D. in music composition. This means she became an expert in creating music.
After teaching for a year at Swarthmore College, she moved to Ireland in 1972. Her music has been played in many famous places around the world. These include the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall in the U.S.
Concorde and Music for Galway
In 1976, Jane O'Leary started an music group called Concorde. She is the artistic director and pianist for this group. Concorde often performs new and modern music.
In 1981, she also helped start 'Music for Galway'. This group helps bring music to people in Galway, Ireland. She was the chairperson for this group for many years.

Jane O'Leary has held many important positions in the arts. She was on the board of the National Concert Hall in Dublin. She was also a member of the Irish Arts Council. This council helps support art and culture in Ireland.
