Jani Macari Pallis is a super smart engineer who loves to figure out how things work! She's the boss (CEO) of a company called Cislunar Aerodynamics in San Francisco, California. She also teaches mechanical engineering at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Jani is an expert in three cool areas: how things fly through the air (aerodynamics), how engineering helps the human body (biomedical engineering), and the science behind sports (sports science).
She was probably the first mechanical engineer to study special items from the famous Wright Brothers at the Franklin Institute. The Wright Brothers were pioneers in flight!
Jani also used to write a monthly column called "Tennis SET" for The Tennis Server. In her column, she shared exciting facts about the science, engineering, and technology used in tennis.
