Janice Nadeau is a talented Canadian artist. She is known for her work as an illustrator, an art director, and an animation director. This means she creates drawings for books, guides the visual style of projects, and directs animated films.
About Janice Nadeau
Janice Nadeau was born in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. She went to school to study graphic design at Université du Québec à Montréal. She also studied illustration in Strasbourg, France, at a special art school.
In 2005, Janice helped create the look for Corteo. This was a big show by Cirque du Soleil, which travels all around the world. She designed the illustrations for this amazing performance.
Janice has also shared her knowledge with others. She used to teach illustration at the School of Design at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Books and Illustrations
Janice Nadeau has written and illustrated many books. She is very good at creating pictures for stories. She has won a special award three times for her French-language children's illustrations. This award is called the Governor General's Award.
She won this award for her illustrations in:

Animated Films

Janice's next film was Mamie. She wrote and directed this film. It was made with a French company called Folimage and the NFB.
Mamie was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Animated Short Film. It was also nominated for a Prix Iris award for Best Animated Short Film.
In 2023, Janice directed another animated film called Harvey. This film was an adaptation of her book with the same name. It was nominated for a Prix Iris award for Best Animated Short Film in 2023.
