Jano is a town and municipality located in Honduras. It is in the northwest part of the Olancho region. You can find it west of Guata, south of Esquipulas del Norte, and north of Manto. A municipality is like a local government area that includes a main town and nearby villages.

People of Jano
In 2013, a census counted the people living in Jano municipality. The total population was 4,553. Most of the people were Mestizo, which means they have a mix of European and Indigenous heritage. A smaller number of people were White, Black or Afro-Honduran, or Indigenous.
