Jaqueline Gomes de Jesus was born on March 7, 1978. Her mother was a mining science teacher, and her father worked with computers. She grew up in a place called Ceilândia in Brazil.

Her Education and Early Career

Jaqueline was a very good student. She first studied chemistry for a year. Then, she decided to switch her focus to psychology. She earned two advanced degrees from the University of Brasília. First, she got a Master's degree in Psychology. Later, she completed her PhD in Social Psychology, Work, and Organisations.

From 2003 to 2008, Jaqueline worked at the University of Brasília. She helped the university with diversity, making sure all students felt welcome. She also led a special center for black students.

Working for Human Rights

Jaqueline Gomes de Jesus has always been passionate about human rights. She believes everyone should be treated with respect. She started her work for human rights in 1997. She joined a group in Brasília called "Estructuración." She first served as the group's secretary. In 1999, she became its president.
