Jarman Impey was born on 9 July 1995. He is a professional Australian rules football player. He currently plays for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Before joining Hawthorn, he played for the Port Adelaide Football Club from 2014 to 2017.

Early Life and Football Start
Jarman Impey grew up in Shepparton, Victoria. He is from the Yorta Yorta Indigenous community. He started playing junior football with the Shepparton Swans. Later, he joined the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup. This is a competition for young players. He also played for Victoria Country in the 2013 AFL Under 18 Championships.

Starting at Port Adelaide
Jarman was chosen by Port Adelaide in the 2013 AFL draft. He was their first pick, number 21 overall. He played his first AFL game in 2014 against Carlton.
When he first started, Jarman often played as a back pocket defender. His job was to stop small, fast forwards from scoring. He had good success against famous players like Hayden Ballantyne and Eddie Betts. In 2014, he was even nominated for the NAB Rising Star award. This award celebrates young players who show great promise.
Moving Forward: New Roles and Success
In 2015, Jarman had a small setback with a hamstring injury. But he quickly returned to play. He kept improving as a defender. In one game against Carlton, he had a career-high twenty-three disposals. This means he got the ball 23 times.
