Jason Roe's Football Journey
Starting Out
Jason Roe began his football career playing for the Nightcliff Football Club in the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL). He also played for the Cairns City Cobras in 2001 and 2002.
In 2002, the Collingwood Football Club chose him in the AFL's rookie draft. This meant he joined their "rookie list," which is a group of promising young players. He stayed with Collingwood until the end of 2003 but did not play any official AFL games.
After leaving Collingwood, Jason moved to South Australia. There, he played for the North Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).
Playing in the AFL
Jason got a second chance to play in the AFL. In 2006, the Brisbane Lions added him to their rookie list. This time, he made his AFL debut and played for the Lions.
He played 50 AFL games for the Brisbane Lions. After the 2009 AFL season, Jason Roe was delisted by the club. This means he was no longer part of their team.
