Jason Simon was born on March 21, 1969. He is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Jason is from the Aamjiwnaang First Nation, which is a community near Sarnia, Ontario. He played five games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Phoenix Coyotes and New York Islanders between 1994 and 1996. Most of his long career, which lasted from 1989 to 2009, was spent playing in different minor leagues.
Jason Simon's Hockey Journey
Jason Simon started his NHL career with the New York Islanders. He made his first appearance in an NHL game on January 7, 1994. He shared this special debut day with other new players like Dan Plante and Ziggy Palffy.
Playing for Different Teams
After his time with the Islanders, Simon signed with the Winnipeg Jets. He played in some practice games with them. Later, he joined the Phoenix Coyotes for one game in October 1997. He then returned to play for a team in Las Vegas.
Simon also attended a training camp with the Colorado Avalanche in 1997. During his long career, Jason Simon played for many different hockey teams. He played for thirty-one teams over twenty years before he stopped playing hockey in 2009.
