Javier Alberto Barreda Jara (born 13 December 1966 – died 3 June 2019) was an important politician from Peru. He was a member of a political group called the Aprista Party. He worked as the Minister of Labor and Promotion of Employment for about four months, from January to April in 2018.

Javier Barreda Jara was born in Lima, the capital city of Peru. He studied at two well-known universities: Cayetano Heredia University and Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He passed away in Lima on 3 June 2019, when he was 52 years old.
