Francisco Javier Peral Periane (born on November 4, 1983), known as Javito, is a Spanish former professional footballer. He played as a winger, which means he was a player who mostly played on the sides of the field.

Javito's Football Journey

Starting at FC Barcelona

Javito was born in Moraleja, a town in Spain. When he was 17, he joined the famous FC Barcelona youth team. He started playing professionally for their reserve team, FC Barcelona B, which is like a training ground for young players.

He played two seasons in a lower league called Segunda División B. In his first season (2004–2005), he scored ten goals in 29 games. This was his best scoring record in a single season!

Javito played his first official game for the main FC Barcelona team on December 7, 2004. It was a big UEFA Champions League match against FC Shakhtar Donetsk. He played the first half of the game, but his team lost 0–2. He couldn't become a regular player for the main team, partly because he had a health issue that kept him from playing for a while.

Adventures in Greece: Playing for Aris

In the summer of 2006, Javito moved to Greece to play for Aris Thessaloniki F.C.. He was one of the first Spanish players to join Aris around that time. He quickly became a key player for the team.

He helped Aris finish fourth in the Superleague Greece, which is the top football league in Greece. This was a great achievement, as they had just been promoted to the league the year before.

In the 2007–2008 season, Javito scored two goals in a big 4–0 home win against AEK Athens F.C.. He also scored a goal in a UEFA Cup match against Real Zaragoza from Spain. Even though Aris lost that game 1–2, they won overall and moved on to the group stages of the competition.

Javito played so well for Aris that he signed a new three-year contract. He started the 2008–2009 season in great form. On October 26, 2008, he scored the winning goal against Olympiacos F.C. (1–0). This was a huge moment because it broke Olympiacos's ten-year record of not losing at Aris's home stadium!

On September 16, 2010, Javito scored the only goal in a home game against Atlético Madrid, who were the champions of the Europa League at the time. He also played the whole game in the return match, which Aris won 3–2. Aris ended up finishing second in their group, ahead of Atlético Madrid.

A Brief Return to Spain and Back to Greece

On January 31, 2011, Javito returned to Spain to join Deportivo de La Coruña, a team in La Liga, Spain's top league. However, he didn't play any games during his four months there. This was due to problems with paperwork, like his signature missing from a document sent to FIFA. His team, Deportivo, ended up being relegated to a lower league that season.

After that, Javito went back to Greece. He signed with Olympiacos F.C., where his former manager, Ernesto Valverde, and several other Spanish players were. In September 2012, his contract with Olympiacos ended.

Playing in Spain Again

In late December 2012, Javito signed with Hércules CF, a team in Spain's Segunda División (the second-highest league). He started nine games until the end of the season. After that, he moved to another team in the same league, AD Alcorcón.

Another Adventure in Greece

In the summer of 2014, Javito returned to Greece for a third time. He joined PAE Kerkyra on a one-year deal. The next year, he signed another one-year contract with Panthrakikos F.C., another team in the Greek top league.

Playing for Spain's National Team

Javito played one game for the Spain under-21 team. This happened on June 7, 2005. He came on as a substitute in a game against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Spain won that game 4–2. This match was part of the qualifiers for the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
