Early Rugby League Days
Jayden started playing junior rugby league at the Western Suburbs Red Devils. This team is part of the Illawarra Rugby League.
In 2019, Jayden had a fantastic year. He was the captain of the Illawarra Steelers team. They won the S. G. Ball Cup that year. Because of his great performance, he was chosen for the New South Wales Under-18's team.
Starting in the NRL: 2020 Season
Jayden made his first appearance in the NRL in 2020. He played for St. George Illawarra against the Melbourne Storm. This was in the final round of the 2020 NRL season.
Developing as a Player: 2021 and 2022 Seasons
In the 2021 NRL season, Jayden played in five games for St. George Illawarra. His team finished 11th on the ladder. This meant they did not make it to the play-offs.
The next year, during the 2022 NRL season, Jayden played in nine games. St. George Illawarra finished 10th that season. They again missed out on the finals.
Key Moments and Team Changes: 2023 Season
In round 10 of the 2023 NRL season, Jayden scored two tries. This was for St. George Illawarra in their game against the Wests Tigers. Even with his two tries, his team lost the game 16-18.
Later in 2023, Jayden was allowed to talk to other teams. He visited the facilities of the Wests Tigers. On August 17, 2023, he officially left St. George Illawarra. He then signed a four-year contract with the Wests Tigers.
Moving Forward: 2024 and 2025 Seasons
Jayden played nine games for the Wests Tigers in the 2024 NRL season. The team had a tough year. They finished last on the ladder for the third year in a row. This is sometimes called winning the "Wooden Spoon".
On December 20, 2024, Jayden was released by the Wests Tigers. On the same day, he signed a new contract. He joined the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the 2025 NRL season.
