Rane then joined the main team. He made his first professional appearance for Mumbai in the I-League on November 3, 2012. His first goal for the club came on October 18, 2013, also in an I-League match.

Playing for Chennaiyin FC

Joining Chennaiyin on Loan

In July 2014, Jayesh Rane was chosen to play for Chennaiyin as a loan player from Mumbai FC. He made his first appearance for Chennaiyin on October 25, 2014.

Winning the Indian Super League

Rane returned to Chennaiyin for the 2015 season. On December 20, 2015, he played in the 2015 Indian Super League Final. Chennaiyin won the match 3–2, scoring two goals in the final moments. This victory made them champions of the Indian Super League.

First Goal for Chennaiyin

The 2016 season started well for Rane. He scored his first goal for Chennaiyin in the very first match of the season. His goal helped his team get a 2–2 draw. Because of his great performance, Rane was named the "Emerging Player of the Match."

Success with Aizawl FC

In 2017, Jayesh Rane joined Aizawl FC on loan from Mumbai FC. He made his debut for the club in a 1–1 draw. He scored his first goal for Aizawl FC in a big match against Shillong Lajong. This goal helped Aizawl win and move to the top of the league table.

Aizawl FC stayed at the top and won the I-League title. This was a very special moment because Aizawl was the first club from the north-east region of India to win this championship. Rane was a very important player for the team, playing in every game.

Time at ATK

After his loan, Rane was picked by ATK in the 2017 ISL draft. He played many games for them. On December 2, 2018, he scored his first goal for ATK in a match against Chennaiyin FC.

Moving to Bengaluru FC

In July 2021, Rane joined Bengaluru FC. He made his debut for them on August 15, scoring the winning goal in a match against Club Eagles. This goal helped Bengaluru win 1–0 in the 2021 AFC Cup playoffs.

Loan Spell at Mumbai City

On July 22, 2023, Rane joined Mumbai City on a loan for the season. This was like a second time playing for a Mumbai-based club. He made his debut for Mumbai City in a 2–2 draw.

He also helped Mumbai City score goals. In one match, he assisted a goal by Greg Stewart. He also made a great pass that led to another goal by Jorge Pereyra Diaz. Both goals were scored very quickly, just 52 seconds apart!

Rane also played in the AFC Champions League for the first time in his career.

Winning Another ISL Title

A big moment for Rane came in the ISL Playoff semi-final against FC Goa. He came into the game when Mumbai was losing 2–0. Jayesh then assisted two goals, helping Mumbai come back to win 3–2!

After winning the second leg, Mumbai played against Mohun Bagan SG in the ISL final. Mumbai won the final 3–1, and Jayesh Rane started the game. This win was special because it made him the only Indian footballer to win the ISL trophy with three different teams. He had already won with Chennaiyin FC in 2015 and with ATK in 2019–20.

Joining Mumbai City Permanently

On June 20, 2024, Mumbai City FC announced that Jayesh Rane had officially joined the club. He signed a one-year deal after his contract with Bengaluru FC ended.
