Jaylen Hill's Professional Football Journey
Jaylen Hill began his professional football career in 2017. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens on May 16, 2017. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent. This means he was not chosen by any team during the NFL Draft. However, the Ravens still wanted him on their team.
Playing for the Baltimore Ravens
Jaylen worked hard and earned a spot on the Ravens' main roster. This is a big achievement for an undrafted player. He played in six games during his first year. He mostly played on special teams, which handles kickoffs and punts.
Dealing with Injuries
During Week 16 of the 2017 season, Jaylen faced a tough challenge. He tore his ACL and MCL. These are important ligaments in the knee. Because of this injury, he was placed on injured reserve on December 26, 2017. This means he could not play for the rest of the season.
In 2018, Jaylen was still recovering from his knee surgery. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list. This list is for players who are not yet ready to play. They need more time to heal from injuries.
End of His Time with the Ravens
On March 19, 2019, the Ravens released Jaylen Hill. This meant he was no longer part of the team.
