Early Life and Family

Jazmín Pinedo grew up in Lima, Peru. She is the only child of Teódulo Santiago Pinedo, who was a Commander in the National Police of Peru, and Libertad Chau.

Starting Her Career

Early Modeling and Pageants

Jazmín began her career as a model, working for tourism companies in Junin, Peru. She quickly gained recognition in beauty pageants. In 2005, she was crowned Miss Selva Central. The next year, in 2006, she won second place in the Miss Junin competition.

Her success continued when she was crowned Miss Teen Perú in 2008. After this, she signed on as a model for the TV show Very Verano on América Televisión.

First Steps in Acting

In 2011, Jazmín tried acting for the first time. She appeared in the movie El Buen Pedro, which was released in 2017. She also played a character named Korina in the movie Somos Néctar.

In 2013, Jazmín joined the popular reality show Esto es Guerra. She was a contestant on the show until 2015, when she left because she was expecting a baby.

That same year, she hosted El Ultimo Hincha Peruano. She also worked as a reporter during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. In September 2018, she filled in as a host for Tengo Algo Que Decirte. She also presented the dance show Los Cuatro Finalistas: Baile.

Jazmín even released a cumbia music version of the song Échame la Culpa with singer Deyvis Orosco.

Recent TV Shows

In 2019, Jazmín continued to host Espectáculos until April. After that, she started presenting the morning show Mujeres al mando with Karen Schwarz and Magdyel Ugaz on Latina.

From 2020 to 2021, she hosted Esto es Guerra with Gianpiero Díaz on América Television. She was later replaced by Johanna San Miguel.

Jazmín Pinedo had a relationship with actor Jesús Neyra in 2012.

In 2018, after returning from covering the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Jazmín decided to take a break from work. She needed to have surgery and recover.
