Making Movies: Jeeva's Career
Jeeva started his journey in movies by helping a famous cinematographer named P. C. Sreeram. He worked on many films with him, like Nayakan and Indian.
In 1991, Jeeva became an independent cinematographer. This means he started working on his own films, and the first one was Abhimanyu. He worked on over 20 films as a cinematographer. He often worked with director Shankar on popular movies like Gentleman and Kadhalan. His work on Kadhalan even won him an award!
Later, Jeeva also became a film director. He directed four movies that were very popular: 12B (2001), Run (the Hindi version) (2004), Ullam Ketkumae (2005), and Unnale Unnale (2007). These films were big hits with audiences.
Sadly, Jeeva passed away suddenly on June 26, 2007, at the age of 43. He was in Russia working on his last film, Dhaam Dhoom, when he had a heart attack. The movie was released after his death.
