In 1978, Jeffrey Bowen married singer Bonnie Pointer. She was a member of the popular group, the Pointer Sisters. He helped produce her solo albums. These included her self-titled LPs in 1978 and 1979 for Motown. He also produced her 1984 album If the Price Is Right. Jeffrey and Bonnie later separated.
