Jamenea "Jem" Ferrer is a famous Filipino volleyball player. She is known for being an amazing "setter" on the court. A setter is like the quarterback of a volleyball team, helping to set up attacks for their teammates. Jem won the "Best Setter" award three times while playing for the Ateneo Lady Eagles university team. She was also part of a special group called the "Fab 5" with her teammates Dzi Gervacio, Fille Cainglet–Cayetano, Gretchen Ho and A Nacachi.

Jem Ferrer's Volleyball Journey
Jem Ferrer has had an exciting career in volleyball. She started playing in university and then moved on to play professionally. Her skills as a setter have made her a key player on many teams.
Early Days and University Success
Jem became famous during her time playing for the Ateneo Lady Eagles. She won the "Best Setter" award in the UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) three times. These wins happened in the 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2012-2013 seasons.
She also won the "Finals Most Valuable Player" award in the 2011 Shakey's V-League. This was a big achievement because she helped her team win the championship!
Starting a Professional Career
After her amazing university career, Jem started playing professionally. She was chosen as the fifth player overall in the draft for the Philippine Super Liga. This is one of the top professional volleyball leagues in the Philippines.
She first played for the PLDT Home TVolution Power Attackers. Later, she also played for their sister team, the PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters.
