Jenny Ebbing Skavlan was born on June 3, 1986. She is a talented Norwegian model, actress, television presenter, and author. Jenny began her career in 2007 by appearing in a TV commercial for Pizza Grandiosa. Since then, she has been in several films, including Børning and Tomme Tønner. In 2008, Jenny also showed her dancing skills on the TV show Skal vi danse? on Norway's TV2. She is also passionate about sewing and wrote a book about it called Sy om in 2012.

Early Life and Career Beginnings
Jenny Skavlan grew up in Oslo, Norway, in an area called Bygdøy. Her father, Jørgen Skavlan, is a doctor, and her mother is a costume designer and textile artist. Jenny is also the niece of famous talk-show host Fredrik Skavlan.
Jenny went to Fagerborg Upper Secondary School. There, she was the main star in the school's traditional revue show for two years in a row. After high school, Jenny moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, to study theatre at Borups Højskole.
First Steps in Acting
Jenny Skavlan started acting in films when she was just eight years old. Her first role was as Alveola in a movie called Body Troopers. After that, she appeared in several commercials.
She later played a character named Malin's friend in the film Fatso. Jenny also appeared as Chris in the film Dead Snow, which came out in 2009. She played Gitte in the Swedish film Once Upon a Time in Phuket. Jenny also had roles in Tomme Tønner in 2010 and Hjelp, vi er i filmbransjen in 2011.
Television and Hosting Roles
Jenny Skavlan has been a familiar face on Norwegian television. In 2008, she appeared in a music video for the rap group Erik & Kriss. She also modeled for a T-shirt line called Russ in 2007.
In August 2009, Jenny became a television presenter for Studio FEM on FEM. This is a Norwegian TV channel for young women. She co-hosted the show with other presenters like Kari Simonsen and Mina Hadjian.

In 2011, Jenny presented the Norwegian version of the exciting game show Fort Boyard alongside Daniel Franck. She also hosted the first season of Masterchef Norge, a popular cooking show.
Later, in 2012, Jenny presented a talk show called Tweet4Tweet. She also hosted an extreme sports show called Fritt fall. In 2021, Jenny won the third season of Kongen Befaler, which is Norway's version of the comedy show Taskmaster.
Jenny Skavlan also co-hosted the Melodi Grand Prix in 2013 and 2014 with Erik Solbakken. This show is Norway's national competition to choose their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. She has also appeared on Swedish television in the comedy series Halvvägs till himlen.
Personal Life
Jenny Skavlan met the musician Thomas Gullestad in 2008. They got married in 2014. Jenny even designed and made her own wedding dress, showing off her passion for sewing!
