Jenny Ebbing Skavlan, born on June 3, 1986, is a talented Norwegian model, actress, TV host, and author. She first became known in 2007 when she appeared in a TV commercial for Pizza Grandiosa. Since then, she has acted in movies like Dead Snow and Børning. In 2008, Jenny also showed off her dancing skills on the Norwegian TV show Skal vi danse?. She loves sewing so much that she even wrote a book about it called Sy om in 2012.

Jenny's Early Life and Career Beginnings
Jenny Skavlan grew up in Oslo, Norway, in an area called Bygdøy. Her father, Jørgen Skavlan, is a doctor, and her mother is a costume designer and textile artist. She is also the niece of famous talk-show host Fredrik Skavlan.
Jenny went to Fagerborg Upper Secondary School, where she was the main star in the school's big show for two years in a row. After school, she moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, to study theatre at Borups Højskole.
First Steps in Acting and TV
Jenny's acting career started very early! At just eight years old, she made her film debut as Alveola in Body Troopers. After that, she appeared in several commercials.
She played a friend named Malin in the movie Fatso in 2008. A year later, in 2009, she starred as Chris in the zombie movie Dead Snow. Jenny also acted in the Swedish film Once Upon a Time in Phuket as the character Gitte. She continued her film work with roles in Tomme Tønner in 2010 and Hjelp, vi er i filmbransjen in 2011.
Jenny also appeared in commercials for an online auction site called Tribber. In 2008, she was in a music video for the rap group Erik & Kriss.
Becoming a TV Host and Author
In 2007, Jenny Skavlan worked as a model for a T-shirt brand. In August 2009, she started a new role as a TV presenter for Studio FEM on FEM, a Norwegian TV channel for young women. She hosted the show with other well-known personalities.
Hosting Popular Shows
In 2011, Jenny co-hosted the Norwegian version of Fort Boyard with Daniel Franck. She also presented the first season of Masterchef Norge, a cooking show. In 2012, she hosted the talk show Tweet4Tweet and later that year, the extreme sports show Fritt fall.
Jenny is also known for co-hosting the Melodi Grand Prix in both 2013 and 2014. This show is where Norway chooses its song for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2021, she won the Norwegian comedy show Kongen Befaler, which is similar to the British show Taskmaster. She has also appeared on Swedish television in the comedy series Halvvägs till himlen.
Her Passion for Sewing
Jenny has a strong passion for sewing and creating her own clothes. She even designed and made her own wedding dress when she married musician Thomas Gullestad in 2014. They met in 2008.
