Jeremy Mathew Hollowell was born on February 25, 1994. He is an American professional basketball player. He last played for Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket in Turkey. Jeremy played college basketball for the Georgia State Panthers. Before that, he played for the Indiana Hoosiers.

Jeremy's High School Basketball Journey

Jeremy Hollowell went to Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis. During his senior year, he was a star player. He scored about 23.9 points and grabbed nine rebounds in each game. By the end of his high school career, he had scored over 1,000 points. Experts ranked him as one of the top small forwards in his class. ESPN also listed him as one of the best overall players in 2012.

Playing College Basketball

Jeremy Hollowell played for two different colleges. He started his college career at Indiana University. Later, he moved to Georgia State University.

Time at Indiana University

In his first year at Indiana, Jeremy played in 33 games. He usually came off the bench as a substitute. He averaged 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. In his second year, he played in 29 games and started 15 of them. His average improved to 5.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

Playing for Georgia State

Jeremy had to take a year off from playing when he transferred to Georgia State. This was due to NCAA rules. During that year, Georgia State won their conference championship. They even made it to the third round of the NCAA tournament. They surprised everyone by beating Baylor. A famous shot by RJ Hunter, Jeremy's childhood friend, won that game. RJ and his coach, Ron Hunter, had known Jeremy since he was young.

In his junior year, Jeremy started all 30 games. He was the top scorer for the Panthers, averaging 14.8 points per game. He shot well from the field and from the free throw line. He had his first "double-double" game with 22 points and 11 rebounds. This happened in a game against South Alabama. He also scored 23 points against Ole Miss. After another great game against South Alabama, he was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week.

As a senior, Jeremy continued to play well. He scored 20 points against Auburn. He also made all 8 of his free throws in that game. When he played against Purdue in his home state, he scored 15 points. He also grabbed five rebounds. In a game against Wright State, he made six 3-pointers, which was a personal best. He finished that game with 22 points. He was again named Sun Belt Player of the Week after a game against Louisiana Lafayette. In his final home game, he had another double-double. He scored 15 points and got 12 rebounds against Georgia Southern.

Jeremy's Professional Basketball Career

After college, Jeremy Hollowell became a professional basketball player.

The Erie BayHawks picked Jeremy in the 2017 G League Draft. The G League is like a development league for the NBA. He stayed with the BayHawks for two years.

In March 2019, Jeremy joined the Mexican team Rayos de Hermosillo. This team plays in the CIBACOPA league. He played 52 games for them. He was the fifth-best scorer in the league, averaging 19.5 points per game. He also got 7.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Jeremy helped Rayos de Hermosillo win the CIBACOPA championship. He was even named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the Finals!

In August 2019, Jeremy signed a two-year contract with Ironi Nes Ziona in Israel. In December 2019, he had his best game of the season. He scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He played in 29 games for the team. He averaged 11.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He left the team in February 2020.

Later, in September 2020, Hollowell signed with Ionikos Nikaias in Greece.

In June 2021, he joined Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket in Turkey.

Jeremy's Family Life

Jeremy is the son of Chandra Lockett and James Hollowell. He has a big family with three brothers and two sisters.
