Jermaine Maurice Jackson Sr. (born June 7, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a point guard or shooting guard. After his playing career, he became a basketball coach.

Early Life and College Basketball
Jermaine Jackson grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He went to Finney High School and graduated in 1995. After high school, he played college basketball for four years at the University of Detroit Mercy. He was part of the Detroit Titans men's basketball team. People considered him one of the top players in his college conference between 1994 and 2012.
Professional Basketball Career
Jermaine Jackson was not chosen in the 1999 NBA draft after college. He started his professional basketball journey with the Detroit Pistons in 1999. He also played for other NBA teams like the Toronto Raptors (2002–2003), Atlanta Hawks (2003), and New York Knicks (2005).
He also played for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2005–2006 season. During his NBA career, he averaged about 2.2 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
Playing in Other Leagues
Besides the NBA, Jackson played in other professional leagues. He played in the CBA in the United States. He also played for many teams in Europe. In 2004, he won the Italian Cup with a team called Benetton Treviso.
In 2011, he joined Maccabi Haifa B.C. in Israel. He played in the Israeli Basketball Super League All-Star Game in 2012. He left the team in March 2012.

Life After Playing Basketball
After his playing career, Jermaine Jackson returned to Michigan. In May 2012, he opened the Jermaine Jackson-Cairns Community Center in Mount Clemens. This center also has the Jermaine Jackson Academy, which teaches young people how to play basketball. In 2012, Jackson also became the boys' basketball coach at Mount Clemens High School.
In 2015, he became an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Detroit Mercy. He later became the lead associate coach there. In 2018, Jackson became the head basketball coach at SPIRE Institute, a special prep school in Ohio. He coached LaMelo Ball there, who later became a professional player. Jackson was named Coach of the Year for The Grind Session during his time at SPIRE. More recently, he has become LaMelo Ball's manager.
Family Life
Jermaine Jackson has a cousin named Brandon Jenkins, who is also a professional basketball player. Brandon currently plays in Switzerland. Jermaine's son, Jermaine Jr., also plays basketball. He plans to play at the University of Detroit Mercy, which is his father's old college.
