Jesper Christensen (born May 16, 1948) is a famous actor from Copenhagen, Denmark. He is well-known in Europe and has also acted in popular English-language movies.

You might recognize him from his role as the mysterious villain Mr. White in the James Bond movies. He appeared in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Spectre. He has also been in other big films like The Interpreter.

In his home country of Denmark, Christensen is a highly respected actor. He has won four Bodil Awards, which are major Danish film awards. Three of these were for Best Actor and one was for Best Supporting Actor.

Personal Views

In 2006, Jesper Christensen was offered a special honor from the Danish monarchy called the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Dannebrog. He decided not to accept it.

Christensen explained that he believes the idea of a monarchy does not fit with modern society. He felt that accepting the honor would go against his personal beliefs.
