Jevohn Shepherd, born on April 8, 1986, is a Canadian basketball expert. He is currently the vice-president of basketball operations and general manager for the Ottawa Blackjacks. This team plays in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Before this, Jevohn was a professional basketball player. He played most of his career in other countries. He also played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines. Jevohn was a long-time member of the Canadian men's national basketball team. He also works as a sports commentator for the Toronto Raptors on TSN 1050.

Early Life and School
Jevohn Shepherd grew up in Toronto, Ontario. He went to West Hill Collegiate Institute for high school. He also attended Don Valley Junior High School.
College Basketball Journey
Jevohn played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines. He was part of the Big Ten Conference in the NCAA Division I. He played for Michigan from 2005 to 2009. In his final year, he was the team captain. He led his team to the second round of the 2009 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. This was the first time Michigan had been in the tournament in over ten years!
Professional Playing Career
After finishing college in 2009, Jevohn started his professional career. He signed with the Halifax Rainmen in the Premier Basketball League. He played eleven games for them.
After that, Jevohn moved to Germany. He played for Giro-Live Ballers Osnabrück. In March 2011, he joined Skyliners Frankfurt. He then signed with Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden in the Dutch Basketball League in July 2011.
In August 2014, he signed with Basket Barcellona in Italy. The next season, he joined OpenjobMetis Varese, another Italian team. On August 11, 2016, Jevohn signed with Spirou Charleroi in the Belgian Basketball League. He played for several other teams in Europe until 2019.
Playing for Canada
Jevohn Shepherd proudly represented Canada in basketball. He played for Canadian teams at the 2005 and 2007 World University Games. In 2007, his team won a bronze medal, which was a big surprise! He joined the senior national team for the first time at the 2010 FIBA World Championship. Jevohn finished his time with the Canadian national team at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup.
Life After Playing
On November 23, 2020, Jevohn Shepherd started a new chapter. He became the general manager of the Ottawa BlackJacks. This team is part of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). He now helps lead the team from behind the scenes.
