James Moyer Franks (born August 27, 1972), known by his stage name Jimmy Pop, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is famous for being the lead singer and a founder of the comedy rock group Bloodhound Gang. He also plays rhythm guitar and writes most of the band's songs.

Early Life and School
James Moyer Franks was born in Trappe, Pennsylvania. He has German and Native American roots. He grew up in a Lutheran family but decided not to practice the religion when he was old enough.
He finished high school at Perkiomen Valley High School in 1990. After that, he went to Temple University in Philadelphia. There, he studied mass communication and history. At the university, he met Jared Hennegan, who would later become the bassist for the Bloodhound Gang.
Music Career
First Steps in Music
Before the Bloodhound Gang, Jimmy Pop was in a band called Bang Chamber 8. It was a cover band, which means they played songs by other famous artists, like Depeche Mode. In 1990, the band also released a tape with four of their own songs.
Bang Chamber 8 broke up in 1991. A year later, Jimmy Pop and another former member, Daddy Long Legs, started a new group. This group was the beginning of the Bloodhound Gang.
The Bloodhound Gang
The Bloodhound Gang started as a hip-hop group but later changed its style to alternative rock. The band became known for its funny and clever songs. Jimmy Pop was the main creative force behind the band's music and lyrics.
Working with Other Artists
Besides his work with the Bloodhound Gang, Jimmy Pop has worked with many other musicians and artists. These projects are often called collaborations.
- He worked with Bam Margera and others in a group called The DiCamillo Sisters. They recorded a holiday song called "But Why's It So Cold?".
- In 2006, he teamed up with dance artist Tomcraft for the song "Broadsword Calling Danny Boy."
- In 2007, he worked with the German band Scooter on a song called "The ... That Killed Elvis."
- In 2010, he helped the German group Die Atzen make an English version of their song "Disco Pogo."
- In 2022, he was featured on the song "Daddy ...?" by the Russian group Russian Village Boys.
TV and Movie Appearances
Jimmy Pop has appeared in several TV shows and movies, often with his friend Bam Margera. He was in the CKY movie series and had a funny role in an episode of the show Viva La Bam.
He also appeared on the TV show The Dudesons, where he took part in a human dartboard stunt. He and his bandmate Evil Jared Hasselhoff were in the movie Minghags: The Movie. Jimmy Pop also had a part in Bam Margera's holiday movie, Where the ... Is Santa?.
