Music Career
Starting with Bang Chamber 8
Before Bloodhound Gang, Jimmy Pop played in a band called Bang Chamber 8. He was with Mike Bowe, who later became known as Daddy Long Legs. The band also included Kevin Hennessey and Justin Ianelli.
In 1990, Bang Chamber 8 released a cassette tape. It had four original songs: "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "Birthday Boy," "Ice Cubes," and "War Chimes." These songs were very different from the music Bloodhound Gang would later make.
Bang Chamber 8 broke up in 1991.
Forming Bloodhound Gang
In 1992, Jimmy Pop and Daddy Long Legs started a new hip hop group. They called it the Bloodhound Gang. Over time, the band changed its style to more of an alternative rock sound. This is also when they started using their stage names.
Daddy Long Legs left the Bloodhound Gang in 1997. He then started his own group called Wolfpac.
