Jin Youzhi (Chinese: 金友之, born Aisin-Gioro Puren) was a Chinese politician and historian. He was born on 21 September 1918 and passed away on 10 April 2015.
Jin Youzhi was the head of the House of Aisin-Gioro. This was the family that ruled China during the Qing dynasty. He held this position from 1994 until his death in 2015. He was the fourth and youngest son of Prince Chun. He was also the younger half-brother of Puyi, who was the last emperor of China.
Instead of using his Manchu family name "Aisin-Gioro," Puren chose "Jin" as his new family name. The word "Jin" means "gold" in Mandarin. This is similar to how "Aisin" means "gold" in the Manchu language. His special name, or courtesy name, was "Youzhi." He became widely known as "Jin Youzhi." Chinese media often called him "the last emperor's younger brother."
