Jindalee Lady is an Australian movie from 1992. It tells the story of an Aboriginal Australian woman who is a talented fashion designer. It was directed by Brian Syron. What the Movie is About
The main character is Lauren. She is a very successful Aboriginal fashion designer. Lauren finds out that her husband, David, who is a record producer, has been doing things that upset her. Because of this, she decides to leave him.
Later, Lauren meets Greg. He is a black filmmaker. Greg helps Lauren to reconnect with her Aboriginal heritage and feel proud of who she is.

How the Movie Was Made
Filming for Jindalee Lady happened in Sydney, Australia. It took place between 1988 and 1990. Some scenes were shot in the Japanese-style home of a famous chef, Tetsuya Wakuda, in Leichhardt. The exciting fashion shows in the movie were filmed at the AFTRS studios.
The movie's release was delayed because of problems getting enough money. The very first copy of the film was finally ready on September 10, 1992.
Where the Movie Was Shown
Jindalee Lady did not play in regular movie theaters in Australia. However, it had a special showing to raise money for charity. This happened in Canberra at The Playhouse on May 13, 1992.
Later that year, the movie was shown at the Brisbane International Film Festival. It also traveled to other film festivals. It was shown at the Hawaii International Film Festival and in Edmonton, Alberta, in Canada.
