Jiquilpan de Juárez facts for kids
Jiquilpan de Juárez is a town in the northwest part of Michoacán, Mexico. It has about 15,000 people and is close to the borders of the Colima and Jalisco states. Jiquilpan de Juárez is the main town of the Jiquilpan area, which is called a municipio in Mexico.
The town is famous as the hometown of Lázaro Cárdenas, who was the President of Mexico from 1934 to 1940. Jiquilpan de Juárez is also home to the Lázaro Cárdenas Center for Mexican Revolution Studies. This center is a place where people learn about and study the Mexican Revolution. The town also has the Jiquilpan Institute of Technology, a special school for technology.
