João Barion facts for kids

João Barion is a Brazilian race car driver. He was born on April 14, 1987. João started his racing journey very young.

He began racing karts when he was only nine years old! He continued racing karts until 2003. After that, he joined a South American Formula Three team called AmirNasr. In 2004, he moved to the Avallone team. Then, in 2005, he joined the Piquet team.

In 2019, João Barion took part in a Netflix driving competition show. It was called Hyperdrive. He did very well in the competition. He even made it all the way to the finals! However, he couldn't finish the race. His special 1965 Ford Mustang car had a problem. Water was leaking from its radiator.

Business Journey

João Barion is also a successful businessman. He is a shareholder in a company called BRICS. This company focuses on entrepreneurship. They invest in new and sustainable businesses.

His business journey began while he was still racing. He started giving talks to large groups of people. More than 47,000 people have listened to his lectures! In 2006, he got his first job at UNIVEM JR. This was a consulting firm. He helped find new partners and create new projects there.

From 2007 to 2009, João worked at his family's company, Dori Alimentos. After this, he decided to explore new opportunities. He started his own business. His first company sold electric skateboards.

Education and Learning

In 2006, João Barion shifted his focus from racing to the business world. He began studying Business. He earned his degree in 2010 from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi.

After getting his degree, João continued to learn. He took many courses in different subjects. In 2011, he studied Business Communication at Harvard University. He also took courses in Psychology, Project Management, and Competitive Strategy at Boston University.

Helping Others

João Barion has always cared about helping people. During his racing career, he joined many social projects. He was a speaker for the "8 ways to change the world" project. This project was led by the United Nations in many countries.

He also helped with other important projects:

• The "Project Joao Barion safety in traffic" aimed to make roads safer.
• The "Mangueira Cidadã" project took place in a community in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
• He was a motivational speaker for "Viva Feliz sem Acidentes." This project helps reduce accidents in Brazil.
