Jocelyne Naïma Dakhlia (born in 1959) is a French historian and anthropologist. She is a director of studies at a famous school in France called the École des hautes études en sciences sociales. Jocelyne Dakhlia was born in Bourg-en-Bresse, France. Her mother was French, and her father was Tunisian. She grew up in Tunisia. She studied history at the École normale supérieure de Fontenay-aux-Roses. After that, she became an expert in the history of people and cultures in the Maghreb region.

She earned her doctorate degree from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). She joined this school in 1990 and later became a director of studies there. This means she helps guide and oversee research projects.

Jocelyne Dakhlia is involved with several important academic journals. She is on the management board of Annales. Histoire, Sciences Sociales. She also helps edit Arabica and Revue du monde musulman et de la Méditerranée.

She is a member of the Conseil scientifique de l'Institut d'études de l'islam. In this role, she has helped organize studies about artistic creativity in Islamic countries. Since 1990, Dakhlia has written many books and articles. These works explore how Muslim countries have developed over time. More recently, she has looked at the effects of the Tunisian Revolution.

Jocelyne Dakhlia is also a member of the French Unesco Committee. Unesco is a part of the United Nations that promotes education, science, and culture. She is also a board member of the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations.
