Joe Labero is a famous Swedish magician and illusionist. He was born on 28 July 1963 in Alvesta, Sweden. His real name is Lars Bengt Roland Johansson. He created his stage name, Joe Labero, by using the first two letters from each of his birth names: Lars Bengt Roland Johansson.

Joe Labero's Magic Journey
Joe Labero's amazing journey into magic started when he was just 12 years old. He got his very first magic kit! At first, he called himself "Magino." In 1979, he won the Swedish junior championships for magic. This competition was held in Karlstad.
During this time, he met a Swedish magician named Carlo Tornedo. Carlo became his mentor and gave him a great idea. He suggested that Joe use the first two letters of his names to create a new stage name. That's how "Joe Labero" was born! He even registered this name for official use.
Big Shows and Tours
In 1991, Joe Labero put on his first really big show. It was called A Magic Night and took place at Berns in Stockholm. The show was a huge hit! It was completely sold out and performed 657 times. For the next few years, this show traveled all over Sweden and even to other countries. Joe toured with it until 1995.
In 1996, Joe Labero started a new show called Mystique in Australia. This show ran for 16 months at Conrad Jupiters Casino. The next year, he presented another show there, which he named Illusions.
In 1998, Joe brought Illusions back to Sweden. He performed it with the original cast, and it was a big success. He continued this show until 1999. Then, he changed it up and called it the Joe Labero show. He performed this new version all over Sweden until 2002.
After these big productions, Joe created the Castle Tour in Sweden. This show was more personal and brought him closer to the audience. He later used a similar idea for his Ship of Illusions tour. For this tour, he traveled by boat around Scandinavia, performing magic.
Music and Magic Combined
Joe Labero also teamed up with the famous piano artist Robert Wells. Together, they created a unique show called Rhapsody in Rock with Magic. This was a huge performance that mixed live orchestral music with incredible magic tricks. They started this show in 2002. They later worked together again on a similar show called the Christmas Spectacular Show.
In 2003, Joe Labero performed over 30 Ship of Illusions shows along the Scandinavian coast. Even former US President Bill Clinton attended one of his shows!
In September 2007, Joe's new show, Invited to Labero, began in Gothenburg, Sweden. This show had an exciting Asian theme. By 2010, this show had been performed more than 300 times and sold over 300,000 tickets!
In 2010, Joe Labero also hosted magic shows at Hamburger Börs in Stockholm. These shows ran from September 10 to October 30. Later that year, in November 2010, he hosted a six-month-long magic show at Jupiters Casino in Australia.
In 2018, Joe Labero brought his newest show, INFERNO: The Fire Spectacular, to Las Vegas. It was performed at the Paris Hotel and Casino.
Awards and Recognition
In July 2009, Joe Labero received a very special award. He was named "Illusionist of the Decade"! This award was given to him during the magic World Cup in Beijing. It recognizes world-touring illusionists from the years 2000 to 2009. Famous magicians like David Copperfield and Siegfried & Roy have also received this award. The prize is given by The Merlin Award Society, which is like the Oscar organization for the magic world. It is based in Las Vegas.

Joe Labero is engaged to Anna Vinterfall, who is an international photographer. They have a daughter together named Nicole Vinterfall Labero. She was born on January 12, 2008.
