Joey Woody was born on May 22, 1973, in Iowa City, Iowa. He is an American athlete famous for running the 400 meter hurdles race. This race involves running and jumping over obstacles called hurdles.
Joey went to Iowa City High School. Later, he attended the University of Northern Iowa. In 1997, he became a champion there. He won the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) 400 meter hurdles title. This is a big award for college athletes.
