John Buller (1632–1716) was an English politician. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for many years between 1656 and 1695. This meant he helped make important decisions and laws for England.
John Buller inherited land from his father in Cornwall, near Saltash. He also owned land in the Isle of Thanet. From his first wife, he inherited more land in Cornwall, near Looe. His family had been active in local government in Cornwall for a long time. Many famous people came from his family, including other Members of Parliament and the well-known soldier Major-General Sir Redvers Buller (1839–1908), who won the Victoria Cross.

John Buller came from an important family in the west of England. His father was Francis Buller, who was also a Member of Parliament in 1640. His mother was Thomasine Honywood. John was the second son in his family.
John Buller's Education
John Buller started studying law at the Middle Temple in London in 1646. This is a place where lawyers are trained. He also went to Trinity College, Cambridge in 1647. He became a lawyer in 1652, but we don't know if he actually worked as one.

John Buller also served as the High Sheriff of Cornwall. This was an important local role. He held this position from November 1688 to March 1689. The High Sheriff was responsible for keeping law and order in the county.
John Buller's Marriages and Children
John Buller was married two times.
- His first marriage was in 1657 to Anne Coode. She was the only daughter and heiress of John Coode of Morval. They had a son named John Buller (1668–1701). This son also became an MP for Lostwithiel. He married Mary Pollexfen. Sadly, John (the son) died before his father. However, he had a son named John Francis Buller (1695–1751). This grandson also became an MP and had three sons who were also Members of Parliament.
- His second marriage was to Jane Langdon. She was the daughter of Walter Langdon.
