John Capodice (born December 25, 1941) is an American actor. He is known for playing many different characters in movies and TV shows.

John Capodice: An Actor's Journey

Acting on Television

John Capodice was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Christmas Day, 1941. He started acting in movies and TV shows in the late 1970s. His very first role was on the TV show Ryan's Hope. He played a character named Lloyd Lord in six episodes.

He also appeared as a guest on many other popular TV series. These include Seinfeld, Murder She Wrote, and Law & Order. In 1989, he was on Moonlighting. He also played a repairman in an episode of Will & Grace.

More recently, you might have seen him on The West Wing or CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He also appeared on Six Feet Under.

Memorable TV Commercials

John Capodice also starred in some funny TV commercials. In one ad for Polly-O String Cheese, he played Fred. Fred was a pizzeria owner who was asked to make a pizza with "nuttin'" on it. This meant no sauce and no crust, just cheese!

He also appeared in a popular ad for Dimetapp Cold Medicine. In this commercial, he played a truck driver who gave medical advice.

Acting on Stage

Besides TV and movies, John Capodice has worked in theatre. He mostly performed in Off-Broadway plays. These are plays shown in smaller theaters, not the very big ones on Broadway.

He played a prison guard in a play called Getting Out. This play won two awards in 1979. He also appeared in a Broadway play called Requiem For a Heavyweight. In this play, he acted alongside famous actors like John Lithgow.

Acting in Movies and Voice Roles

John Capodice has been in many movies. He played Doyle in the 1982 film Q. He was also Tommy in the 1989 movie Family Business.

He appeared in the 1991 film The Doors. He was also a police detective in the 1989 comedy See No Evil, Hear No Evil. You might also recognize him from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

Other big movies he was in include Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994) and Speed (1994). He also had roles in Independence Day (1996) and Enemy of the State (1998).

More recently, he used his voice for a video game. He was the voice of Sidney Pen in the 2010 video game Mafia II. In 2023, he voiced a Cabdriver in the animated movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
