Basketball Career
John Celestand is 6 feet 4 inches tall (about 1.93 meters). He went to Piscataway High School in Piscataway, New Jersey. After high school, he played college basketball at Villanova University.
In 1999, John was chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1999 NBA draft. He was the 30th player picked overall. He became part of the Lakers team that won the championship in the 1999–2000 NBA season. This was a big achievement for him.
After playing for the Lakers, John also played professional basketball in other countries. He spent several years playing in Italy, France, and Germany.
Life After Playing
Today, John Celestand lives in New Jersey. He is involved in many activities related to basketball and helping young people.
Coaching and Training
John is a co-owner of a company called All-State Basketball. Here, he helps train young basketball players in Central New Jersey. He also used to coach the Central Jersey Jammers, an AAU team. He still helps out with different basketball groups in New Jersey.

Helping the Community
