John Knut Chrispinsson (born 13 December 1956 in Stockholm, Sweden, died 3 April 2017 in Stockholm) was a well-known Swedish journalist and TV presenter. He also wrote several books. John worked mostly in TV and radio. He presented news shows and historical programs.

John Chrispinsson's Life and Work
John Chrispinsson started his career as a journalist. He wrote for newspapers like Strengnäs Tidning and Expressen. He also worked for Sveriges Radio, which is Sweden's national public radio company.
Working in Television
In 1988, John joined SVT. This is Sweden's main public TV broadcaster. He became a popular TV presenter.
He hosted many different shows, including:
- Svepet
- Gomorron Sverige (Good Morning Sweden)
- Röda rummet (The Red Room)
- Bokbussen (The Book Bus)
John also co-hosted the Melodifestivalen 1989. This is Sweden's big music competition. He presented it with Yvonne Ryding. He also helped cover the Wedding of Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist.
A big part of his TV work was the Nobel Prize festivities. He co-hosted the live broadcasts from Stockholm eight times. This was between 2001 and 2011.
Working in Radio
In 1990, John started working for Sveriges Radio P1. This is one of Sweden's main radio channels. He presented shows like Förmiddag i P1 (Morning on P1) and Direkt (Direct).
For most of the 1990s, he presented the news show Kanalen (The Channel). He also produced a radio show called Historiska klubben (The History Club).
Other Activities
Outside of TV and radio, John was often a debate leader. He led discussions at many conferences. These events covered topics like politics, money, science, and city planning. He helped people talk about important issues.
His Passing
John Chrispinsson passed away on 3 April 2017. He was 60 years old. He died suddenly after collapsing.
