Winning Gold at the 1904 Olympics
In 1904, John Alexander Fraser was part of a special soccer team called Galt F.C.. This team was from Galt, Ontario, which is now part of Cambridge. The Galt F.C. team traveled to St. Louis, USA, to compete in the 1904 Summer Olympics.
The soccer tournament at these Olympics was small. Only three teams competed. Galt F.C. played against two American teams. They won both of their matches. This amazing performance earned them the gold medal. John Alexander Fraser played in one of these important matches.
