John Otto was born on March 22, 1977. He grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. From a young age, he was interested in music.
He studied jazz drumming at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. Before joining Limp Bizkit, he played in different experimental bands in his local area.
Joining Limp Bizkit
In 1994, John Otto helped form the band Limp Bizkit. He joined with Fred Durst and Sam Rivers. The band started in Jacksonville, Florida, and quickly became very popular.
Limp Bizkit sold over 40 million records around the world. They became one of the biggest bands in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Rumors and Return
In 2004, some people thought John Otto had left Limp Bizkit. This was because new photos of him were not on the band's website. There were even rumors that he had become a monk.
However, the band's singer, Fred Durst, hinted that John was still with the band. Later, new pictures of John Otto appeared, showing that the rumors were not true.
